A friend asked me why someone he knows keeps creating dramas and actually seems to purposely provoke people, especially her partner.  The answer is in two parts. Firstly it can have to do with our childhood.  If our childhood was full of drama and anger and argument then that can become our ‘normal’.  We seek to create what for us is normal and don’t often know how to operate outside of it.  The second answer encompasses the first and is the real truth of the matter.  We reflect, attract and create that which we are inside.  This lady obviously wasn’t at peace within herself. She probably had anger, hurt and resentment inside which reflected her outer life.  My favourite quote of all time is by Dr Wayne Dyer: “How do you get world peace?  You get world peace through Inner peace.  If you’ve got a world full of people with inner peace, then you have a peaceful world.”  A similar one from the Dalai Lama:  “Any vision of peace starts with the individual, in a process of ‘inner disarmament’. I think peace must come through inner peace.”  I love my job as a coach and EFT practitioner because I get to bring people to a place of inner peace.

A great definition of abundance I was given reads: A plentiful supply of all the good things in life: a fulfilling relationship, a worthwhile career, stimulating vacations, enjoyable hobbies, good friendships, excellent health, a strong faith, and sufficient money to satisfy your needs.  Does this sound like your life?  If not I can help you achieve that.  As well as abundance however we also need to feel good about ourselves, to be enjoying life, and to feel like we make a difference in the world,  even if in a small way.  With my clients I try to encourage them to find a small way of giving to others or making a difference.  This might be something big like charity work of some description, but it can also be something as simple as a smile. One of my clients said she makes a difference in the world by “putting a smile on people’s dial”.  She smiles at people and shares a bit of acceptance and happiness around and I think that’s wonderful.  Changing your life really isn’t that hard if you know what to do.  I’ll teach you how.  Its one of the ways I make a difference in the world 🙂  I have a four step system that enables you to create the life you want to live.  It involves changing your mindset by utilising the Law of Attraction, and of course using EFT to remove the barriers or blocks in the way.  If your life isn’t as abundant as you want it to be contact me for a chat about how I can help.

I often recommend books to clients so I thought I’d make a list of the ones I most regulary recommend.  These are awesome, life changing books.  I guess number one would be “Loving What Is” by Byron Katie.  Teaches you how to accept your life and be happy with it.  I use her teaching all the time in my life and its made a huge impact on me.  Another one near the top of the list would be The Secret, which of course teaches about the Law of Attraction, or how we create our lives with our thoughts.  I tell people that its not the best book on the Law of Attraction, but its a great starting point.  Don’t read it quickly – read a bit each day and ponder on what you’ve read.  When you are ready to move on to higher teachings on the Law of Attraction anything by Abraham-Hicks is great (Esther and Jerry hicks and the teachings of Abraham).  When I have clients who are having relationship issues I often recommend The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman.  He teaches how we give and receive love in different ways and the way your partner is showing their love may not be a way you recognize, and vice versa.  One of the best books I ever read is When the Body Says No by Dr Gabor Mate.  An amazing book that everyone in the world should read, especially if they have an interest in health, or are stressed or unwell.  This next one is not for everyone, depending on their beliefs, but the trilogy (books 1, 2 & 3) Conversations With God by Neale Donald Walsch are mind blowing and also life changing.  Start with Book 1.  I’ll talk about some other books I love in another blog. We had an unseasonably warm winter day last weekend and as I remarked on how wonderful it was at least two people said “it won’t last, there’ll be snow to follow”.  I was stunned by their negativity – well the negative expectation at least.  I can’t imagine what its like to go through life not even able to enjoy the moment or the day.  Someone who practices the Law of Attraction well and is a positive person would respond “yes, its so wonderful” or something to that effect.  Remember that its not just our thoughts that create our reality, but our beliefs and our EXPECTATIONS.  Now I’m not saying that our expectatons can control the weather, but if we are to expect good things in our lives we must start with the little things.  Practice gratitude by being happy with what you have.  Live in the moment.  If you are looking ahead do it with the expectation that even more good things will come your way.  I refuse to buy into the doom and gloom mood, including weather predictions.  I receive ‘Notes From The Universe’ (put out by Mike Dooley) into my inbox every day and thoroughly enjoy them.  Today there was this message at the bottom of the email which I loved.   NEWS FLASH 1 WEATHER ADVISORY: This week’s forecast will be marked with buoyant optimism scattered throughout the land with intermittent bursts of hope, faith, and euphoria that are expected to create numerous high pressure cells ideal for dreams coming true.
